Harkey’s Feminine Fashions in celebrating a second anniversary, is featuring a window displaying a dress designed completely out of handkerchiefs and two candles (with electric lights) are prominent. The many friends of Mrs. O.N. Harkey, the manager, congratulated her on the success of her enterprise during the two years she has been in business.

Four Conway High School girls received state Future Homemakers of America degrees last Saturday at the FHA convention in Little Rock. They were Suzanne Carter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carter; Janice Hefner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Opie Hefner; Sue Webb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Webb; and Kay Troutman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O.L. Troutman.

Randy Ingram of Enola received 74 percent of the vote yesterday in defeating Gene Cotton of Guy 536-192 in a runoff for the Democratic nomination for District 1 justice of the peace.
The JP contest was the only race on Tuesday’s runoff ballot in Faulkner County.
Ingram more than doubled Cotton’s totals across the district, winning every polling place except Cotton’s home township of California.

Tyler Bacon got an up-close look at a Blackhawk helicopter from pilot Jim Smedley during enrichment day at Ellen Smith Elementary School on Friday. The chopper crew, based out of Camp Robinson, flies medical missions for the National Guard. Students were able to sit in the pilot’s seat as well as climb through the helicopter.
