Dib Williams of Greenbrier and Conway, second baseman for the Sacramento club of the Pacific coast league, was hitting .282 when averages were compiled for today’s edition of the Sporting News. Williams had secured 48 hits in 147 times at bat, scored 19 runs and batted in 26 in a total of 45 games. Sacramento was tie with Portland for the league lead Tuesday morning.

Mike Hartwick is the winner of the 1963 DeKalb Agricultural Accomplishment Award given to the outstanding senior in the vocational agriculture department at Greenbrier High School.
He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Hartwick.
Young Hartwick was president and vice president of the Greenbrier Future Farmers of America, president of the Senior Class and a member of the Student Council.
His farming program consisted of raising dairy cattle and hay crops.
He will attend Arkansas Tech at Russellville.

Twelve Conway students will graduate with bachelor of arts degrees Saturday, June 4, from Hendrix College.
Commencement is at 9:30 a.m. on the patio of the Olin C. Bailey Library. Dr. Joe B. Hatcher, Hendrix president, will present 206 graduates with degrees.
The Conway students are Mark Fredric Flesher, Karen Kay Fowlkes, Kelly Lynne Haggard, Robyn Kelly, Nicolas Bernard Lasker, Jame Joseph Linch, George Samuel Mackey, Sarah Kate Meriweather, Kevin Wayne Mize, Susan Diane Robertson, Daniel Harton Spatz and Stephen Arthur Swartzel.

Youth Service America has awarded $2,500 to ninth-grade civics teacher Debbie Knowles and Vilonia Junior High School, made possible by a grant through the State Farm Insurance Companies Foundation "Good Neighbor Service-Learning Award" program.
Civic students of Knowles and the journalism students of Faith Fisher are partnering with more that 90 senior citizens of Vilonia to create a "living history" museum website for Vilonia.
