UCA volleyball grows in RPI

The University of Central Arkansas Sugar Bears, the Southland Conference regular-season and tournment champions, have achieved their highest RPI (45) in history on the NCAA volleyball rankings.

Central Arkansas’ previous high was no. 49 after last season’s SLC Tournament, a number that fell to 51 after the Sugar Bears’ loss to Washington in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Sugar Bears have also received the fourth highest vote among unranked teams in the weekly Volleyball Magazine Top 20 poll.

The Sugar Bears will learn their seeding and destination for the first round of the NCAA Tournament at 8:30 p.m. Sunday on ESPNU. The Sugar Bears will watch the show from the suites on the fifth floor of Bear Hall. Fans are invited to join them.
