Two longtime Log Cabin cartoonists were awarded last month for their dual submission in the South Arkansas Arts Center’s 2016 Editorial Cartoon Contest.

Milton Davis and Foy Lisenby won for their "Dump Trump" political-division cartoon, which features an elephant being led to the ballot box with the words, "You can lead an elephant to the ballot box, but you can’t dictate his vote."

Davis and Lisenby are longtime friends and partners. Together, they created the Log Cabin daily cartoon Toadsuck Tidbits. Davis inspires the commentary, while Lisenby provides the drawings.

Lisenby contributes to each Monday’s Log Cabin County Connection with his playful "Remember When" cartoons.

The duo won first-place and $50 for their cartoon, submitted for judging by Jay Barth, a faculty member at Hendrix College. The ElDorado News-Times sponsored the contest.
