The Faulkner County Sheriff's Office arrested a Level 3 sex offender suspected of failing to register his address for the second time in the past six months on Tuesday.

Spokesman Adam Bledsoe said the sex offender coordinator at the sheriff's office received a tip that 38-year-old Darrell Manning was living at a residence in which he had not registered under.

Records show Manning registered at an address in Mayflower in October following his release from the Faulkner County Detention Center.

Bledsoe said Manning was released from the county jail in October following a June arrest for failing to report to local law enforcement for moving out of his previous registered address.

The sheriff's office followed up on the tip it received Tuesday and found Manning staying at the Westbury Park Apartments in Conway.

Manning was charged with failing to register as a sex offender, a Class C felony, and for providing the incorrect permanent physical address on is ID, a Class D felony.

Bledsoe said he encourages residents who are suspicious of sex offenders not complying with registration requirements to contact the sheriff's office.

"If you know of a sex offender out of compliance, Investigator [Vanda] Phillips asks for citizens to call her at 501-450-4917 or leave an anonymous tip at www.fcso.ar.gov," he said.

As of press time Thursday, Manning was being held in the county jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond. He is set to appear at 9 a.m. Jan. 29 in Faulkner County Circuit Court for a plea and arraignment hearing on the aforementioned charges.
