Three sets of school board members in Faulkner County will meet to make decisions about their districts during regular meetings this week.
Vilonia board members, which meet at 6 p.m. Monday, will recognize Vilonia High School student Marcia Williams, who was elected on Jan. 24 as the state president for FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
The Vilonia High School CyberSecurity program will be acknowledged during the meeting as well.
Board members will also consider the fiscal year 2019 district calendar, 13 policy revisions and four student transfer requests.
Conway board members will gather at 6 p.m. Tuesday to look at five items on their action agenda including several policy revisions regarding suspensions and expulsions, extracurricular activities and more, 10 student transfers, 29 resignations and five new hires.
The board will also hear from Superintendent Greg Murry during a new segment called “Living Out Our Core Values,” where an educator from one school in the district is introduced by its principal and acknowledged for being one who acts out the district’s core values.
Marguerite Vann Elementary Principal is set to introduce fourth grade teacher Barb Clardy and third grade teacher Heath Dow.
Board members will also hear reports regarding the 2018-19 school calendar.
Greenbrier School Board of Education is also set to meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
All the meetings are open to the public.
