Dan Thessing announced he will seek re-election as Justice of the Peace.

Thessing has served on the Faulkner County Quorum Court 16 years. During that time, he served on the Budget and Finance Committee and chaired the Personnel Committee.

He and his wife Janice have been married for 43 years. They have two children, Dr. Jason Thessing and Jessica Rister, three grandchildren and a fourth on the way.

Thessings holds a master's degree and retired from education after 36 years, of which 27 years was spent teaching in Conway Public Schools.

Thessing said some of the achievements made during his tenure include the widening and resurfacing of Skunk Hollow Road, new intersection lights at five dark intersections, repaving roads around Lake Conway, the new bridge on South Amity Road on Lake Conway and being the past chairman of the committee while the new jail and the new court building were constructed.
