I hope everyone had a great Easter! Even though it was chilly on Sunday, it turned out to be a beautiful day for egg hunts. I noticed by all the pictures there were lots of hunts around the community. The Wiedower’s, Ricky and Debbie, had a great turn out as usual. Lots of eggs and little hunters. I'm Sorry we didn’t make it this year.

Keep the following in your prayers; Clark and Linda Stevenson, Darrell and Bessie Bearden, Debbie Wiedower, Clark and Faye Hooten, Dorothy Glover, Hogan Hicks, Diane Remus, Ray Davidson, Ed Stephens, Theoda and Myra Griffith and Marcelle Fielder and any one that has been sick or in the Hospital.

Congratulations to John Hutchcraft on his recent awards and being inducted into the Arkansas Hall of Fame this week. He retired this year with a great legacy!

What great things have been happening at The Other Side Of Searcy! As I have mentioned before this is a great non profit ministry for people with addictions. Three people were baptized Sunday! What a blessing that was! They are doing several fundraisers to provide for those that are seeking help to become better men and women in this world. They are having a dessert and pie auction on April 28th. If you would like to donate some desserts I would gladly come pick them up, as I am helping with this fundraiser. The more desserts, the more money they bring in to keep these facilities in operation. Also, we're selling donation tickets on a 1990 convertible Corvette that was donated, tickets are $20 a ticket or 3 for $50.

They will be giving the Corvette away on May 11th. They are in need of basic supplies too, like toilet paper, paper towels, coffee, tea, condiments, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene, deodorant, tooth paste, etc. Keep this organization in your prayers. So much is going on to fight addiction that people need to know about.

This Saturday, Area 17 Special Olympics will hold its annual Bocce Tournament at Conway Human Development Center at 8:40 a.m. and the following Saturday, April 13th, will be Track and field at Conway High School. Opening ceremonies starts at 9 a.m. Come out to cheer the athletes on!

What a crowd Centerville United Methodist Church saw on Easter Sunday. Our church smelled wonderful with the Easter Lilies lining the front of the church. The egg hunt after our service was a hit, even though we only had five kids participating this year. Our kids are growing up.

I was blessed to have both of my children, Dylan and Kaylee, with me for church. That does not happen a lot with both kids in school and both kids working, so it was a treat. They opted to go out to eat instead of me cooking and we went to Colton’s in Conway. I was thankful they made time for their mama on Easter.

Our monthly fellowship potluck was postponed due to Easter falling on the first Sunday of the month, so we will have our potluck this Sunday, April 8th. We will have our guests from Hendrix on April 15th and our Church at the Farm will be held on April 29th at the Beasley Farm. April is a busy month for the folks at CUMC.
