In an effort to raise awareness about tackling drug addiction, the men of the City of Hope Outreach (CoHO) Hope Home will share their stories during a community barbecue April 28.

The free event will be from 12-2 p.m. at 604 E. Robins St. in Conway.

“We are looking forward to hosting this event this year,” CoHO Director Phil Fletcher said. “I am personally proud of the work these men have accomplished in their own lives and the impact they have on the community.”

In addition to the Hope Home men sharing their stories, representatives from several area rehab organizations will be on hand.

“It is a chance for those who need assistance to receive it, but also for others to obtain the knowledge to help others,” Fletcher said. “CoHO is asking for our larger community to support initiatives and events such as the Hope Home BBQ. These men want to raise awareness about drug use and make available resources to help people in need.”
