The University of Central Arkansas will hold its commencement May 5 in the Jeff Farris Health and Physical Education Center.

The university will confer 1,073 undergraduate degrees and 262 graduate degrees during three ceremonies.

Commencement for the College of Business and College of Education is scheduled for 9:30 a.m; commencement for the College of Fine Arts and Communication, College of Liberal Arts and College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is scheduled for 1 p.m. and commencement for the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences will be held at 4:30 p.m.

UCA President Houston Davis will address the graduates.

Hershila Lallu, the 2017-2018 president of the Student Government Association, and Joshua Eddinger-Lucero, the newly elected 2018-2019 president of the Student Government Association, will bring greetings from the students.

Rahul Mehta, 2018-2019 Faculty Senate president, will address the graduates on behalf of the faculty.

UCA Alumni Association representatives Steven Shook, Tyler Bailey and LaTonya Matheney will address graduates at 9:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The university will award distinguished professor emeritus designations to Clint Johnson from the College of Business and Gordon Shepherd from the College of Liberal Arts.

Students receiving the President’s Medallion for Outstanding Student of the University 2017-2018 are: Kylie Garrett, Anna Cain, Rachel Zoe Allison, Hershila Lallu, Joseph Barnello and Morgan Sweere.
