Dossett Morgan joins Winthrop Rockefeller Institute

The Winthrop Rockefeller Institute is pleased to announce it has hired Julia Dossett Morgan as director of marketing and communications. Dossett Morgan joined the Institute staff on May 14.

“Julia’s spirit and enthusiasm for our mission and her considerable experience in nonprofit marketing is just the right fit at the right time for the Institute,” said Executive Director Dr. Marta Loyd. “In the spirit of Winthrop Rockefeller’s commitment to collaborative dialogue, we convene people with diverse perspectives to search for solutions to challenging issues, and we look forward to having Julia help us tell our story.”

Dossett Morgan comes to the Institute from Reynolds Performance Hall in Conway, where she was the Director of Marketing and Finance. She brings more than 14 years of nonprofit marketing and management experience, including 7 years at Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago and 2+ years at Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis. Julia holds a Bachelor degree in Advertising from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is in progress towards a Master in Public Administration with a Nonprofit Management focus from Arkansas State University.

She and her family moved from the Midwest to Arkansas in 2014, when her husband, Dr. Andrew Morgan, joined the music faculty at Hendrix College. They have two sons and reside in Conway.

“Neither Governor Winthrop Rockefeller nor myself were born in Arkansas, but he found and I find this state to be an amazing place with endless possibilities and opportunities," Dossett Morgan says. "I'm thrilled to join the talented team at the Institute atop beautiful Petit Jean Mountain, and look forward to working together to further the Governor's vision for Arkansas, our region, and the world."
