The Conway Police Department is investigating an early-morning shooting that left a Conway teen dead on Thursday.
The investigation marks the fourth Conway homicide investigation this year.
CPD spokesman LaTresha Woodruff said 18-year-old Jody Loring was found shot to death inside an SUV around 1 a.m. Thursday along Donaghey Avenue near the intersection of Marilyn Drive, which is just north of the Tyler Street intersection.
Authorities are working to identify suspects in this case, she said, noting that police do not know a motive at this point nor do they know what transpired prior to Loring being shot.
"We are looking to figure out exactly what happened here," she said. "At this point, we aren't looking for a specific suspect. We are currently working to identify a suspect in this case."
Faulkner County Coroner Jessica Thorn said Loring suffered "multiple gunshot wounds" and that the 18 year old's body has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab so the medical examiner can perform an autopsy.
