While schools around the state are letting out for summer break, Woolly Hollow State Park is getting ready for its 33rd annual Fun Day, which will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 7.

Fun day this year will be an afternoon filled with games and contests that include sack races, watermelon seed spitting, and wheelbarrow races to name a few. Free swimming and paddle boating will be offered between noon and 7 p.m.

"Woolly Hollow State Park has been in your backyard since 1972 and has continued a tradition of being a family-friendly environment with over three miles of hiking and a mountain biking trail, which is just over nine miles of trail," Park Ranger Margaret Ellis said in an email.

Park programming will be offered throughout the weekend. To view the list of activities, visit Arkansasstateparks.com.

"Join us at Woolly Hollow State Park, where 'Every Day is Fun Day'" Ellis said. "We look forward to seeing you there."
