The Faulkner County Sheriff's Office is partnering with the Arkansas Blood Institute and the Little Rock Zoo to host a blood drive next week.

The drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. July 6 at the sheriff's office.

The drive inspires area residents to give local and "let the adventure begin," while offering free T-shirts and a voucher for one entry into the Little Rock Zoo, sheriff's office spokesman Erinn Stone said.

"This is our [third] year partnering with the Arkansas Blood Institute for the blood drive," she said. "Doing the blood drive gives us the opportunity to partner with different businesses in the community. It also gives the sheriff's office the ability to be in the community."

To schedule an appointment, potential donors are asked to call the sheriff's office at 501-450-4914.

"Come out and visit us, donate some blood and meet Jeff Allen from The Point 94.1," Stone said, noting donors have already started registering. "We have already had a few people make appointments to come out and donate. We are encouraging anyone and everyone who can to come donate."
