Conway — Roller Funeral Homes of Arkansas has awarded the Christine Roller Employee of the Year Award for 2012 to Jessica Thorn, Roller-McNutt Funeral Home. The recognition is a high honor at Roller Funeral Homes, which employs more than 300 staff. The Christine Roller award was established in 1998 in honor of the late Christine Roller, wife of Denver Roller who founded Roller Funeral Homes. The recipient of this award is nominated by the managers of Roller Funeral Homes based on the following criteria: employment history, dependability and attitude, availability and accessibility in response to employees and families, management skills, professional appearance, work performance, community involvement, going beyond what is expected and loyalty to the Roller motto "With All Our Respect".
Jessica is an Apprentice Funeral Director at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. She has been serving families with the Roller organization since April of 2009. Jessica has many roles from waiting on families, directing funerals and taking calls at night, to keeping up with clerical work in the front office. This includes, filing all death certificates, filing Citizens Fidelity Insurance claims, filing Pre-paid funeral contracts, private insurance claims and many other duties that arise on a daily basis.
Her nominators praise her dedication in serving families and assisting co-workers. Jessica’s always available to do whatever is necessary to make things run smoothly, she always takes it upon herself to ask others if they need help and gladly steps in and lends a hand.
