The Conway Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team, along with several other patrol units, responded to a residence in the 1900 block of Cleveland Avenue on Wednesday afternoon, although the immediate reason of the response is not known. Conway police spokesperson LaTresha Woodruff confirmed that the SWAT team was responding to a residence Wednesday afternoon, although she stated the specifics of the operation would not be disclosed until the investigation was concluded. SWAT members were seen coming out of the residence at 1912 Cleveland Ave. around 4:40 p.m. with occupants of the residence in custody. The occupants were seen being led by SWAT members to the back of the residence. The Log Cabin Democrat will update this story as more information is known.
