A former nursing home office manager, accused of stealing more than $100,000 from patients and the owner, is scheduled for arraignment Monday morning in Faulkner County Circuit Court.
Cassandra Bailey, 39, of Morrilton, is set to enter a plea before Circuit Judge Ed Clawson.
Bailey is charged with theft of property, a class B felony, after accusations were brought to Conway police by St. Andrews Place directors in October.
The directors told police that Bailey admitted to stealing from the nursing home after being fired for job performance.
The nursing home provided police with a promissory note, signed by nursing home officials and Bailey, that stated the ex-office manager acknowledged the theft, and agreed to repay the $115,000, she’s alleged to have stolen, through monthly installments of $650.
Bailey was arrested Nov. 6 at her mom’s residence in Morrilton, and was held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
If convicted of the class B felony, Bailey would face five to 20 years in prison and up to a $15,000 fine.
