The 26-year-old suspect wanted in connection with three AT&T burglaries in central Arkansas, who escaped custody at a Conway hospital, was captured by U.S. Marshals on Saturday night at a Little Rock hospital.

Conway police spokesperson La Tresha Woodruff said Michael Mitchell was apprehended just before he was set to be released from the hospital, which he checked into under a fake name.

Mitchell was originally apprehended Jan. 29 by authorities in Conway County. Russellville police responded to an AT&T store in the 3000 block of East Main Street around 1:43 a.m. and noticed a broken window, and a "suspicious vehicle" leaving the area. A pursuit, involving Russellville police and the Conway County Sheriff’s Office, ensued and ended after more than 20 miles on Interstate 40 at mile marker 107 in Morrilton. Mitchell was taken into custody and transported to the Conway Regional Medical Center for treatment.

While there, Mitchell walked away from the hospital and escaped police custody.

Conway police say Mitchell was identified as a person of interest in the Jan. 11 burglary of an AT&T store in Conway, the day after his escape from the hospital.

According to court documents, Mitchell has been charged in two separate January burglaries of a Conway AT&T store. The second occurred Jan. 28, court documents show.

In all, Mitchell faces two counts of commercial burglary and two counts of theft of property. Mitchell is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond and is scheduled for arraignment in Faulkner County Circuit Court on Feb. 18.
