Among incidents recently reported by the Conway Police Department:

• Theft at 2000 block of East Oak Street

A Conway woman reported Monday that a Brookland, Ark., man stole a 1996 Lexus she had just purchased from him. Police had the vehicle towed and told the woman how to recover her vehicle.

• Breaking or entering at the 1900 block of Rich Smith Lane

A resident reported Monday that someone broke into her vehicle and stole $13 worth of potato chips and her Social Security card.

• Possession of a controlled substance at the 1200 block of Harrison Street

Police responded to a domestic disturbance and spoke to a woman who said a man she knows beat her up. Police made contact with the man and, during the discussion, learned he had smoked crack earlier in the day. Officers asked for permission to search the man and found a glass smoking device and a white powdery substance in his pocket. They asked the man if it was crack, and he said yes. The man was arrested on felony drug charges.

• Residential burglary on Lost Canyon Drive

A construction worker reported Monday that when he arrived to put in flooring at a new home, he discovered someone had stolen his tools, including a tile saw, floor grinder, spade drill, grinder with concrete cutting blade and a laser guide. Total value was $3,950.

• Commercial burglary at 150 East Oak St.

An employee of Copeland Development reported he is doing construction at the old Carmike cinema, which is being completely renovated. He reported he arrived at the building to discover someone had broken in and stolen some power tools. Total value was $2,500.

• Shoplifting at 1155 Skyline Drive

Police responded to Walmart on Skyline Drive, where two men had been detained in the security room after they were observed taking merchandise and leaving without paying for it. Both men were arrested and taken to jail.
