Considerable damage to outbuildings, orchards and timber occurred southwest of Conway as a result of last night’s storm. A large barn and a potato house were destroyed on the farm of James Daugherty and John Moix’s orchard and vineyard in the same community were damaged.

Cliff Christopher, a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. E.O. Christopher of Conway, has been selected to serve as a page in the Mississippi state legislature.

The youth is a son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Christopher of Tupelo, Miss.

Pvt. Alan C. McCray, son of Maudie McCray and nephew of Queen E. McCray, both of Conway, recently arrived for duty with the Army’s 9th Engineer Battalion in West Germany.
