Mrs. Martha E. Boyd of Guy announces the marriage of her daughter, Lavelle, to Keller Lieblong, son of Mr. and Mrs. Q.L. Lieblong, also of Guy. The ceremony took place at Morrilton Jan. 26, 1937. Miss Georgia Kathryn Lybarger and Mr. Ray McNutt were the only attendants. Mr. and Mrs. lieblong will reside in Guy.

Twenty-four girls, mostly Conway and St. Joseph High School students, will compete for the Miss City Beautiful title at a tea to be held at the Chamber of Commerce office from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The girls are between 16 and 21 years of age.

They are as follows: Janice Clements, Margo Dunaway, Anita Basco, Kay Satterfield, Sara Jane Archer, Janice Enderlin, Virginia Sue Enderlin, Jane Hawk, Judy Hawk, Dorothy Hunter, Nancy Dunaway, Caroline White, Pat Cantrell, Lou Ann Curtis, Virginia Beasley, Judy Keathley, Pamela Phifer, Judy Montgomery, Idalene Blackburn, Malinda Young, Brenda Brown, Kay Tyler, Eileen McGee and Sharon Benton.

Ralph Harrell of Mayflower, former state representative and former Mayflower city alderman, celebrated his 84th birthday Sunday with an open house and reception for about 65 relatives and friends.

Ben Youngblood pulled out clumps of dirt while Brendon Crymes, Joseph Jarvis, Brian Lewis and Sam Codemo helped each other dig a hole to plant a maple tree at Jim Stone Elementary School. The Cub Scouts Den 5 and 6 planted the tree as a service to their school.
