Clyde Jumper today joined the sales force of the Conway Shoe Store. He has been an attendant at Harton Service Company’s station for several years.

Miss Shirley Ward, bride-elect of James Hardin, was the honoree at a shower last Tuesday, given by Mrs. Floyd Hooten at her home. The honoree’s chosen colors, pink and white, were used in the arrangements on the serving table and throughout the entertaining rooms. Miss Ward was presented a corsage of miniature kitchen utensils. Individual cakes, punch, nuts and mints were served by Mrs. Richard Ward and Mrs. Paul Hardin, mothers of the couple. Games were directed by Mrs. J.M. Milam.

Jo-La-Ru beauty salon recently moved to a new location at North Plaza Shopping Center.
Jo Ann Mitchell, owner of the salon, said the business also added several new services in conjunction with the move, including manicures, pedicures and facials.
The business formerly was located on Highway 64 in northwestern Conway.

Tyler Allgood presented Conway Animal Shelter supervisor David Brittain with $100 worth of animal food, treats and toys on Thursday. For his 12th birthday, Allgood asked his friends to bring money instead of gifts so that he could purchase food for the shelter. Presenting the food, treats and toys with Allgood was his cousin, Zach King.
