The Newcomers’ Club of Conway held its monthly meeting on Aug. 9 at The Hole in the Wall Café.

The meeting was called to order by First Vice President Sada Vandiver. Rogene Smith, co-first vice president, introduced guest speaker Meredith Rolf. Ms. Rolf is International Resource Development Manager for Heifer International. Members enjoyed an interesting and informative program.

New members attending were Toni Jackson and Val Temple. Also attending was perspective member Jim Bennet.

Door prizes were won by Maxine Dykes and Melinda Carroway. The lunch coupon was won by Madeline Suttle. The Pot of Gold was won by Mary Ann Bradley, who donated the prize to the Newcomers’ Club.

The next general meeting will be held Sept. 13 at The Hole in the Wall Café.

The Newcomers’ Club of Conway is a social organization formed to help those new to Conway learn more about the area and form new friendships.
