J.C. Dawson of Conway, minister of the Church of Christ and superintendent of the boys industrial school at Pine Bluff, will broadcast over radio station KARK, Little Rock at 1:20 p.m. each day this week under the auspices of the Church of Christ. He made his first talk today.
The Faulkner County Republican Central Committee has re-elected Lonzo A. Ross, Conway attorney, as its chairman.
Ross has served in the position for the past 20 years with the exception of a two-year period during which Lee W. Reynolds was the leader.
The re-organization of the committee came at a meeting this week.
Kimberly Roberson has been named assistant director at Kiddieville Christian Day School on Meadowlake Road.
Mrs. Roberson holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and home economics from the University of Central Arkansas. She is a member of Phi Sigma Iota and Phi Upsilon Omicron academic honor societies.
Mrs. Roberson also serves as the director of the pre-school Sunday school division at Second Baptist Church.
She and her husband, Brian, and their son, live in Conway.
Ebenezer United Methodist Church will host the Rev. and Mrs. Tyler Cain’s Sixth Pastor and Family Appreciation Service at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Guests will be the Rev. Forrest Cooper and the Mount Gale Baptist Church.
When the Rev. Cain was called to pastor Ebenezer United Methodist Church, it had a membership of 34 and worship attendance of 25 and Sunday school attendance of 12. Today, the membership has grown to more than 100 — worship attendance is 80 and Sunday school attendance is between 35 and 40.
