It’s been a year since Nathan Harness of Conway cheated death that fateful September day at the World Trade Center. Now he just wants to make sure he doesn’t cheat himself out of life.

Like every other American, Harness’ life was forever changed by the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11. The 23-year-old Harrsion native was a financial consultant attending a training seminar on the 61st floor of the Trade Center’s south tower when American Airlines flight 11 slammed into the north tower and was still in the building when United Airlines flight 175 came crashing through. Actually surviving the attacks has put a permanent stamp on his memory and given him a sense of duty to share his story with others. And whether it’s a local church group or a Little Rock television network, he said talking about the attacks is a way to help him and others to never forget the events of that day.
