A reunion was given at the home of J.B. Thomas near Greenbrier Sept. 20, in honor of the four brothers, H.P., J.G., J.B. and E.R. Thomas, and one sister, Mrs. Josephine Williams. Others present were Mrs. H.P. Thomas and daughter, Mrs. J.B. Thomas, Henry Thomas and family, Mr. and Mrs. E.U. Thomas, O.E. Banister and family, R.J. Lybarger and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Morgan and A.A. Wilson. An enjoyable day was spent exchanging jokes and playing games. At the noon hour a bountiful dinner was served. Pictures were made in the afternoon and all felt the day was well spent.
Miss Claudia Kuykendall left today for Las Vegas, Nev., to attend the national American Legion Auxiliary convention, which opens Friday and ends Oct. 11.
Miss Kuykendall was accompanied by Mrs. Clara Coombe and Mrs. F.J. Eison, both of Little Rock. Mrs. Eison is president of the Arkansas Auxiliary and Mrs. Coombe is secretary.
Miss Kuykendall will represent Arkansas on the national Girls State, legislative and Americanism committees.
She is executive director of the Faulkner chapter of the American Red Cross. Mrs. Elmer Fiddler will be in the Red Cross office at the courthouse while Miss Kuykendall is away.
Danny and Melissa Longing of Conway are parents of a daughter, Allison Ann, born Tuesday (Sept. 22, 1987) at Doctors Hospital. The couple also have a son, Monty, 4. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. James A. Montgomery and Louise Graham and the late J.R. Longing, all of Conway. Great-grandparents are Dollie Greene and Kines Montgomery.
Cadet Samuel Boaz Brown, son of Scott and Tanya Brown of Conway, has completed cadet basic training at the U.S. military Academy at West Point, N.Y.
Brown is a 2002 graduate of Conway High School.
