The 33rd annual Pancake Breakfast, Silent Auction, and Bake Sale, will be held from 7 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Conway Senior Citizens Center, 1620 Donaghey Ave.
Debra Robinson, executive director of the Senior Programs in Faulkner County, said the menu will include all you can eat pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee and milk. Last year, more than 2,000 pancakes were served.
The center’s ladies have been working for months preparing for this event. The Sweet Shoppe will feature pies, cakes, breads, cookies and candies.
The silent auction items up for bid will be: Branson show tickets, jewelry, antique items, gift baskets, massages, fitness club membership, gift certificates to many Conway restaurants and other items which would be great for gift giving.
The pancake breakfast and silent auction is the center’s biggest fund-raiser of the year. It allows the general public to support the six Senior Centers in the county which makes available a wide variety of services.
All profits will be used for this purpose. The Senior Citizens Center is a United Way Agency.
Tickets for the event are now available at the Conway Senior Center, from center Board Members and from Senior Citizen participants. Tickets are $7 for adults, and $3 for children 12 and under. Tickets may also be purchased at the door. Carry out meals will be available.
