Beth Lachowsky of Conway and Kevin Piker of Little Rock have announced their engagement and forthcoming wedding.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve and Karen Lachowsky of Conway. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Verlon K. Starkey and the late Mary Nell Starkey from Conway and the late Mr. E.F. (Cotton) and Ruby Nell Lachowsky of Conway. 

She is a 2004 graduate of Vilonia High School. She attended Baptist Health School of Nursing and Allied Health where she graduated, with high honors, in 2005 with a certification in medical transcription.  

Currently, she works as a medical transcriptionist at Arkansas Pathology Associates in Little Rock.

The prospective groom is the son of Mrs. Patricia Krippendorf and Mr. Kip Krippendorf of Sherwood and Mr. Tommy Piker and Mrs. Christine Piker of Rogers. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Zofia Buratowski of North Little Rock and Mrs. Nanette Piker and the late Mr. Robert Piker. 

He is a 1999 graduate of Catholic High School. He attended Pulaski Technical College where he graduated in 2004 with a degree of associate applied science in computer information systems. 

Currently, he is a department manager at Office Depot in North Little Rock.

The wedding is set to take place at 5 p.m. Sept. 4.  The ceremony will be held at Four Winds Church with a reception to follow at The Old Gin Special Events Center.
