Robert "Bob" and Nelda Grissom of Conway celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 24 with a gathering of family and friends at their home hosted by their daughter.
They were married July 30, 1960 in Saltillo by the Rev. Ernest Zimmamber.
Bob retired from Polyvend (Conway) in 1987 and enjoys working on cars and playing in his band on weekends.
He was born Feb. 10, 1942, in Mount Vernon, a son of the late Addie Grissom and Jewel Coker.
Mrs. Grissom, the former Nelda Heffington, is the daughter of the late Otis and Ruth Heffington.
She was born Aug. 22, 1942 in Conway. She retired from Frigidaire (Conway) in 2001 and enjoys gardening.
They are the parents of one daughter, Brenda Curtis and husband Scott, and two grandchildren, Kami and Spencer Curtis, all of Conway.
More than 150 family members and friends gathered to celebrate their anniversary.
