Pat and June Henderson of Faulkner County (Wooster area) celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 26, 2011.
The couple was married Aug. 26, 1961, in New Denver, British Columbia, Canada; June’s hometown. Pat, originally from Blackwell, Okla., was in the Air Force and stationed at the Kamloops, B.C. Radar Site.  
Pat continued his career in the Air Force and retired in 1979. Following retirement, Pat went to work in the defense industry; first with Northrop in the Chicago area, and later with ITT in New Jersey. The couple moved to Arkansas in 2002 and settled In the Wooster area.
They are celebrating their anniversary with a train trip across the middle of the country to Sacramento and up to Seattle. After a few days there, they will return home coming across the Northern tier of the country.
They have two children, John and Holly, both in the Chicago area. They each have one daughter, Josie and Samantha.
Pat and June are members of the Second Baptist Church in Conway.
