The Faulkner County Library will host an Authors Fair from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday featuring Arkansas writers and representing multiple genres. The authors will discuss their works, sign copies, and share their stories. Authors include Sherry Laymon, Linda Varner Palmer, Garry Craig Powell, Mark Spitzer, Juliet Kimbrell, Jay Jennings, Robert Reising, Carroll Williams, Lorien Foote, Robin Becker, Tyrone Jaeger, David Colclasure, and Stephanie Vanderslice. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet some great regional talent.

Robin Becker, author of the zombie novel Brains, published by Harper Collins, commented, "I am very excited to meet readers in the area and to spend time with fellow local writers. I might even check out a book while I’m there." Becker says she might dress up as a zombie if petitioned to do so.

According to poet and author Mark Spitzer, "This event will literally bring a ton of diverse local writers together and make them accessible to the reading public. The book fair will make their work accessible, and it’s a good thing to do on a Saturday afternoon, especially if you’re a juvenile delinquent who could use a distraction from committing further vandalism. Picking up a book never hurts, and can often lead to constructive inspiration."
