At 2 p.m. June 26, Ashley Nicole Malik and Manvill Erickson Allen were united in marriage at Sacred Heart Church in Morrilton. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Charles Thessing.

The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Laura Malik of Center Ridge. She is the granddaughter of Garland and Frankie Long of DeWitt and the late James and Antonie Malik.

The groom is the son of Roger and Lisa Shoptaw of Tull. He is the grandson of Glen and Phyllis Daniel of Pensacola, Fla., and Willard Shoptaw of Bauxite and the late Norma-Gean Shoptaw.

Ashley Lynch and Jennifer Lasowski greeted the guests. The table that held the brides’ book was draped with a hot pink fabric with an overlay of orange sheer with a puddle of turquoise.

The altar had two large arrangements of orange and pink roses with white glads, and white calla lilies with wild flower filler. The isle markers were white calla lilies with pink and orange roses with turquoise ribbon.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a stunning one-piece, slim line gown by Maggie Suttero. The gown featured a sweetheart neckline and a corset back. Dainty and delicate, this gown had embellished pewter lace and tulle gracefully falling over diamond white Delustered Satin. A satin band and crystal brooch create an eye-caching empire accent while an illusion train finishes with an elaborate scalloped hem. She completed her look with a two tier, finger length veil of diamond white English net. The veil featured pewter embroidery and delicate flowers detailed in pearls and sequins along the scalloped edge. 

She carried a clutch bouquet of white hydrangeas, white mini calla lilies with pink and orange roses. She wore diamond drop earrings and her mothers’ pearl bracket. She carried her great grandmothers’ handkerchief draped around her bouquet.

Bridesmaids were Amber Malik, maid of honor and sister of the bride, Amy Malik, sister of the bride, Ali Miller, Sara Beth Bobo and Molly Long, cousin of the bride. They wore a turquoise strapless luxe taffeta gown with center vertical pleats. The gowns featured a plated horizontal empire waist ban the ties to a bow in back. They carried a clutch bouquet with green spiders and pink and orange roses nestled in white hydrangeas.

The flower girl was Katherine Isely. She wore an elegant ivory gown fit for a princess. The sleeveless bodice was accented at the waist with a turquoise satin waistband and bow, and the full puckered organza skirt featured rhinestone accents.

The groom wore a black one-piece button notch lapel tuxedo with a diamond white turndown collar micro fiber shirt with a fullback five button diamond white vest with a matching four in hand tie.

The groomsmen were Nick Nelson was the best man, Carlos Marroquin, Zach Tidwell, Michael Blake, and Brad Albin.The ringer bearer was Hunter Huett. They wore a black, one-button notch lapel tuxedo with a white turndown collar micro fiber shirt with a fullback five button vest in aqua marine with a matching four in hand tie. The ushers were Kevin Long, undo of the Bride and Aaron Alien brother of the groom. The Lector was Paula Hutchings.

The reception was held at St. Josephs’ Parish Hall at Center Ridge. Serving at the reception were Cindy Cunningham, cousin of the bride, Danielle Tucker, Emily and Betsy Long, cousin of the bride. Lucy Matik Alice Riedmueller, Donna Hart, Rita Allison, and Theresa Paladino also assisted with the reception. Becky Lewandowski and Shelly Price were the wedding directors.

After a honeymoon to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple will be at home in Conway.
