Miss Kristen Ratterree of Conway and Mr. Jonathan Shores of Greenbrier have announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve and Jan Ratterree of Greenwood, and Mr. and Mrs. Rick and Sheila Jenkins of Redfield, Ark. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Margaret Ratterree and late husband Mr. Winfred Ratterree of Pine Bluff, Ms. Lois Tucker and late husband Mr. J.Y. Tucker of White Hall, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Anna Kemp of Conway.

She is a graduate of Maranatha Baptist Academy in Pine Bluff, Southeast Arkansas College at Pine Bluff, with an associate degree in general studies, and the University of Central Arkansas, with a bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences.

She is currently employed as an administrative specialist II at the Conway Human Development Center in Conway.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John and Tammy Shores of Greenbrier. He is the grandson of Ms. Glenna Shores and late husband Mr. John Shores of Greenbrier, and Mr. and Mrs. Benny and H. Lovell Maxwell of Conway.   

He is a graduate of Greenbrier High School, attended Central Baptist College, and graduated from the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton. He has earned a technical certificate in computer information systems technology, a certificate of proficiency in networking technology and a certificate of proficiency computer maintenance.

He is currently employed as a maintenance assistant at the Conway Human Development Center in Conway.

The wedding is set to take place at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 5, at Springhill Baptist Church, Greenbrier.

A reception will be held in the Burgess Family Center of the church immediately following the ceremony.
