The altar was decorated with a weathered, barnwood backdrop constructed by the groom. An antique window was centered on the backdrop that held two antique padlocks that were forever joined during the unity portion of the ceremony.
Immediately following the ceremony, a public, vintage-style reception honored the couple.
Each table was adorned with vintage and antique heirlooms and décor.
The guests enjoyed a wide variety of finger foods, vintage candies and soft drinks.
The ivory, bridal cake was three-tiered, flourish stamped and Amaretto flavored. Each layer was decorated with a bow that was centered with an antique brooch. The aunt of the bride, Robin Shock, prepared the bridal cake. The groom’s cake was chocolate and two-tiered, with rough peaked icing. It was topped with a Ducks Unlimited duck head and the cake was decorated with shotgun shells. Lisa’s Cakes of Conway prepared the groom’s cake.
The vintage mood for the reception was set with big band music by Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Dean Martin, Ray Charles and more.
Flowers for the wedding and reception were done by Daisy-A-Day Florist and Gifts in Greenbrier.
