The brother of a stabbing victim said Tuesday morning that a police report on the incident does not accurately reflect events that led to Saturday's incident.
Christopher Childress disputed the Conway Police Department report, saying that he did not tell authorities that he found his brother, Jeffrey, struggling on the floor of his residence with girlfriend, Jennifer Phillips.
CPD's report says that Christopher Childress observed the two arguing outside the residence before going inside. The report reads: "He stayed outside a little longer, then went in and found them struggling on the floor."
Christopher Childress said Tuesday morning that he did not tell authorities he saw the pair on the floor. He said they were standing while arguing. He provided a copy of a written statement he provided to police. According to that statement, "The started arguing and fighting got them broke up. She went to kitchen got a knife and stabbed him in back one time and I pushed her away."
