Faulkner County Judge Preston Scroggin said that until the last round of rainfall Thursday evening no major flooding had occurred in the county.

The last round of rain caused some minor flooding, but Scroggin said there was nothing that would threaten any homes.

"We had plenty of water," he said.

Scroggin said the road department would be looking at places employees had fixed several times already this year.

By mid-afternoon Thursday, Faulkner County had received 3-1/2 inches of rain, according to Scroggin’s estimates.

He said that although the ditches and creeks were full, he did not anticipate any problems unless "it starts pouring before then; it could be different."

In past weeks, the Faulkner County Road Department has spent time repairing roads damaged because of wet summer and fall weather.
