Faulkner County Clerk Melinda Reynolds announced her plans for re-election Friday.
Reynolds, D-Greenbrier, has served nine terms in the position.
Reynolds graduated from Greenbrier High School in 1975. She has held the position of County Clerk since 1993.
She is married to Rick Reynolds. Her children are Jacob Reynolds and his wife Natalie Reynolds and Lance Reynolds and his wife Brandi Reynolds.
She is the daughter of Nell Hightower and the late Kenneth Hightower.
Reynolds said, " I consider it an honor to serve the people of Faulkner County as their County Clerk and would like to thank you for the support that you’ve given me in the past and ask for your continued support. I will strive to keep the Clerk’s office operating in a friendly and professional manner. My office is always open to the public for any questions and concerns."
Reynolds said her top priority in the position will continue to be voter registration and elections.
