District 2 Justice of the Peace Dianna D. Kellar announced her plans for re-election Friday.
Kellar, D-Greenbrier, has served five terms in the position. She serves as chair of the Faulkner County Quorum Court’s Finance and Administration Committee and is a part of the Courthouse Task Force and the Faulkner County Quorum Court’s Courts and Public Safety Committees.
Kellar was a teacher and counselor at Greenbrier Public Schools from 1979-2008.
"My primary goal is to continue to serve the people of my district effectively and efficiently," Kellar said in a news release.
Kellar believes her greatest accomplishment has been "finally getting a Courts and Public Safety building started," and "being conservative about money."
She is married to Johnny S. Kellar, and they have two children, Tony Kellar and Nolan Kellar; and three grandchildren, Dylan, Sara and Jake.
Kellar attended the University of Central Arkansas, where she earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English.
