Stephen Simon has announced his intention to run for re-election as the Faulkner County tax collector.

Simon is a Democrat and has served four two-year terms in the position.
Simon is married to Charlotte Simon. The couple has three children and five grandchildren.

He is the son of Mary Louise Simon and the late Fritz Simon. Simon graduated from St. Joseph School. He was a dairy farmer from 1976-1996 and a state representative from 1995-2000.
Simon is a member of the Farm Bureau of Faulkner County Board and the Vilonia Waterworks Board.
Simon spent six years in the Army National Guard.
“I will strive to keep the collector’s office operating in a professional and friendly manner,” Simon said in a news release. “I will always be open to public input and questions. If re-elected, my staff and I will work for all the citizens of Faulkner County. I appreciate your past support, and again, I am asking for your vote.”
