The Conway Area Chamber of Commerce is looking to fill an important role after its vice president of operations split ties with the business network organization.

"It was a decision he made; he was not let go," Chamber President and CEO Brad Lacy said about Chad Russell, former vice president of operations.

Lacy said the organization will begin looking for a replacement.

"It's an important position for us, and we're gonna take our time and look for a great replacement." Lacy said. "(Russell) did a lot of really good things. He helped transfer Toad Suck Daze into a better festival than it ever was. It's definitely a big position to fill. We'll start working on that soon."

Lacy said Chamber members shouldn't notice any changes in services while they work to fill the position.

Russell did not immediately return a message for comment.
