Conway police arrested two suspects early Thursday morning following a string of vehicle break-ins.

Joshua Barrow, 21, of 92-05 Lawrence Landing, and Rosanne Hurley, 21, of 409 Pine Timber Lane in Damascus, were arrested after a witness allegedly saw the pair breaking into a GMC Denali in the parking lot of Conway Regional Medical Center, according to CPD Public Information Officer Chris Harris.

The witness called 911 after she heard a loud noise in the parking lot, and saw a male inside the vehicle and a female standing outside the SUV. The two left before officers arrived, but the witness was able to give a detailed description of both suspects and the vehicle they fled the scene in.

Officers spotted the grey SUV merge onto Interstate 40 eastbound at Oak Street and were able to pull over the vehicle at mile marker 128.

Conway police found several stolen items from other vehicle break-ins, as well as a Jimenez .380 caliber pistol inside the vehicle.

Barrow and Hurley were taken into custody on charges of breaking or entering, a Class D felony, and theft of property, a Class A misdemeanor, and were jailed at the Faulkner County Detention Center on a $3,130 bond.

“We are very thankful for the witness who came forward and called the police department,” Harris said. “With her quick action and the rapid response from officers, they quite possibly saved future victims from these types of crimes.”
