The Faulkner County Cooperative Extension Service will host its annual field day today at the Bob Schaffer farm near Lollie Bottoms.
According to CEA Staff Chair Hank Chaney, the field day gives area farmers and producers the opportunity to see different demonstrations established in Faulkner County.
"We’re trying to go out here and look at different technologies and show farmers how to apply those in a way they may not have known," Chaney said.
Demonstrations begin at 9 a.m. and include a variety of topics, such as rice disease monitoring, edible soybeans, herbicides and a sprayer calibration clinic.
Following lunch, equipment demonstrations will be available, including a showing of John Deere hay equipment.
The event is free and open to the public with lunch provided by the Cooperative Extension Service.
Signs will be posted along routes leading to the field day farm.
