According to a report by the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office, the Saltillo Volunteer Fire Department was vandalized last week.

Authorities were informed July 8 that the roll-up doors of the new fire station had been spray painted. Officers arrived to find "White Pride" and a swastika in black paint on the doors of the station. The suspects also painted drug symbols and obscene language on the doors, as well as one side and the back of the building.

A neighbor stated to FCSO officers that she had heard four-wheelers the night before but did not see anything. There are no suspects at this time.

According to Saltillo Fire Chief Bill Reed, the fire station is still in the building stages.

"We just recently completed the metal part about three or four months ago," Reed said. "We hope to be operating out of that station by the end of year."

The Saltillo Volunteer Fire Department is currently operating out of the station located on Adams Lake Road.
