Home Instead Senior Care will partner with the Faulkner County Senior Citizens Center and the Conway Fire Department in an effort to provide relief to seniors in their homes this summer.
A community fan drive will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Faulkner County Senior Citizens Center, located at 1620 Donaghey Ave.
"We are giving back to the seniors in Faulkner County with this community fan drive because they have given us so much," said Dan Fry, Home Instead franchise owner.
Fry said that the Home Instead team recognizes the importance of keeping the elderly safe and comfortable, especially in the summer heat.
"Central Arkansas is experiencing heat indexes of 105 degrees and higher, and it is crucial to keep these seniors hydrated and cool," Fry said. "With the rising cost of groceries, utilities and medications, seniors cut costs any way possible, even if it means being uncomfortable or in danger in their own home."
