Among reports recently released by the Conway Police Department:

 

1. Criminal mischief at 700 block of Club Lane. Victim reported that sometime between 5 and 11:15 p.m. Friday someone had keyed his vehicle. The victim stated there was a continuous scratch mark from the driver’s side rear fender to the driver’s side front quarter panel, as well as a scratch on the hood.

2. Endangering the welfare of a minor at 200 block of Great Falls. Officers responded to a call Sunday about a baby that had been left in the middle of the road. The child’s mother stated that the baby’s father left the child in the middle of the road. The mother said that she and another female were trying to find the father. After chasing him on foot, the pair returned to their vehicle and found the father at the corner of Grand Falls and Gold Falls. The father allegedly put the baby in the car seat in the road and left. The father later told officers he put the baby behind his car next to the curb and waited for the child’s mother to get closer in her vehicle before leaving the scene.

3. Breaking or entering at 400 block of Second Street. Victim reported Monday that the back glass of his Jeep had been completely broken and a set of Kicker speakers were missing from the vehicle.

4. Breaking or entering at 1053 Front St. (Covington Roofing). An employee of the business reported Monday that someone jumped a locked fence in their private parking area. The employee found one of the business’ trucks inside the secure area with the hood up and a battery missing. The employee stated that the suspect took pliers from the back of the truck and cut the power cables connecting the battery to the engine. The employee said truck was left unlocked.
