The following convictions recently took place in Faulkner County Circuit Court:
• Billy Mac Harris, Jr. was sentenced to 60 months in the Arkansas Department of Correction for second degree forgery. Harris was arrested in December for presenting a forged check to a local merchant. He pled guilty to forgery, a class-C felony. The defendant has been ordered to pay restitution.
• Michael Paul Sliffe, 31, was sentenced to 120 months in the Arkansas Department of Correction for violating the terms of his probation. On or about Oct. 11, 2007, Sliffe was arrested for burglary, kidnapping and terroristic threatening. His probation was revoked due to illegal drug use.
• Ralph Franklin Riley Jr. was sentenced to 10 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction for violating the terms of his probation after being arrested and charged with obstructing government operations, theft of property, breaking or entering, failure to register as a sex offender and possession of a firearm.
• Charles Edward Dillon, 39, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and signals for turning on Feb. 24. Dillon pled guilty to reduced charges and was sentenced to four years at the Regional Punishment Facility. The defendant was also ordered to forfeit $1,275 and a cell phone in his possession at the time of his arrest and his 1986 Chevrolet truck.
