A Morrilton man was arrested at a motel in Conway on Saturday and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal intent to manufacture methamphetamine.
According to Chris Harris, public information officer with the Conway Police Department, officers had been notified by a bondsman of three outstanding felony warrants for the arrest of Orville Kelley, 41, who was discovered to be staying in a room at the Motel 6 with a female friend.
Harris said that upon entry of Kelley’s room, officers spotted possible chemical components of methamphetamine, and it appeared there had been some attempt to manufacture methamphetamine on the premises.
"I’m not sure what the other three warrants were for, but I believe a couple of them were also for criminal intent to manufacture," Harris said.
Harris said Kelley’s friend was not charged in the incident.
