Members of the Conway City Council will hold a special meeting Thursday night to discuss upcoming improvements to Prince Street.
"We’re going to meet to kind of give a first blush of our plans for Prince Street," Conway Mayor Tab Townsell said.
Townsell said the improvement plans include a stretch of Prince Street beginning at the roundabout on Western Avenue and extending to Salem Road.
"We’re looking to widen it," Townsell said. "Right now it’s three lanes, and we’re wanting to make it four lanes," Townsell explained.
Townsell said the plans also include the addition of a median and two additional roundabouts.
"There is no tentative start date right now," Townsell said. "We’re going to be paying for it with a quarter-cent sales tax, kind of a pay-as-you-go thing."
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the McGee Center. Townsell said the public is welcome to attend.
