The Arkansas Supreme Court denied a Fayetteville man’s request for a rehearing of his conviction of murdering a Greenbrier woman.
The court on Friday rejected 31-year-old Zachariah Scott Marcyniuk’s request for a rehearing. Marcyniuk was convicted in December 2008 in the beating and stabbing death of 24-year-old Katie Wood of Greenbrier. Wood, was found dead on March 9, 2007, in the bathtub of her Fayetteville apartment.
Marcyniuk’s conviction and death sentence were upheld by the court in May. Friday’s ruling also denied Marcyniuk’s request to make additional arguments.
