A Vilonia man was arrested Monday for suspicion of third degree sexual assault after allegedly having inappropriate contact with a 13-year-old girl.

Brandon Davis, 20, of 38 Brown Road, was arrested by Faulkner County Sheriff’s deputies after he was found with the victim.

According to Lt. Matt Rice of the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office, the 13-year-old victim was reported missing and was later found with Davis by Conway police. Rice said police learned during questioning that Davis had allegedly inappropriately touched the victim. Although the relationship to the girl is not known, Rice said Davis did know the victim.

Rice said FCSO officers were contacted since the incident occurred in the county but outside of Conway police jurisdiction.

Davis was arrested and transported to Faulkner County Detention Center Unit II. He will make his first appearance on third degree sexual assault charges in Faulkner County Circuit Court on Wednesday afternoon.
